WHAT IS COMPANY ALL CALL (CAC)?
The financial needs of our department are not always covered in the budget that the school allows. However, instead of having little fundraisers all year long, our theatre students assemble together in teams to take on this one large fundraiser. Known as Company All Call, or CAC, this is simply a phone-a-thon, targeting friends, family, neighbors, and employers. But, instead of marketing food or household goods, we simply ask for a one-time monetary donation from which we can gain the largest return and put to the best use.
The CAC typically takes place each year in September and only lasts 45 minutes! It’s a fast and easy way to make a lot of money … proceeds average $10,000 each year! And that goes a long way for set and costume needs, as well as behind-the-scene expenses for stage management and equipment.
